How does payment for referrals work?
Every new member that enrolls "through" a member will be placed in that member's "downline" on their first level... (If a new member doesn't have referring member the Admin will assign one.)

Once they are placed into their downline, a founding downline member will immediately earn commissions. There are two types of earnings. First, for each person that a member enrolled, the member will receive a Direct Referral Commission. Second, the member will receive an Downline Commission since that person is now in a member's network. You receive referral commissions 15 levels deep, which means that by referring only a few people and then through your direct and indirect referrals again acquiring referrals, you can end up with a thousand or more in your downline.
